Writing for Lochby
I recently had the opportunity to write a blog post for Lochby, a small business making journals and EDC essentials out of waxed canvas. One thing I loved about writing for Lochby was that they wanted me to do more than just talk about their products. Did I talk about their products? Yes, but they wanted the main focus to be about me as a creative.
This allowed me to write a personal narrative that focused on how I became a published poet, a journey that transformed me from a kid with paralyzing writing anxiety into a professional who has studied and worked in writing for years.
In the blog post, I also talked about how I have been trying to make my creativity more analog. The digital world is pervasive and loud, and while it has many benefits, it’s also important to create boundaries that allow you to unplug and energize yourself.
I’m proud of how the blog post turned out. If you’d like to take a look, you can check it out here.
